There is an exciting opportunity to work with the Emergency Care Quality and Safety Team.

This is an important role ensuring that the quality governance within the Division is monitored effectively. Experience in working in the fast paced Emergency Care environment is desirable.

It essential that you have excellent written and verbal skills as you will be required to liaise with clinicians and senior management on a day to day basis and may also .

Communication with patients and relatives is an integral part of the role and may be in difficult circumstances. You will be required to adapt to daily challenges, using their problem solving skills and initiative.

Main duties of the job

To work as an integral part of the Divisional Management Team and support the coordination of the Division's quality, safety and risk agenda. Working with the relevant teams you will ensure clinical and quality governance and risk systems and processes are in place in their Division to support safer care, learning and continuous improvement.You will support the delivery of Divisional quality and safety initiatives providing assurance via the Divisional Team to the Trust Executive, Board Sub-Committees and Division Team Meetings. This will include ensuring the Division has in place an effective system for the management of Serious Incidents and other significant issues and the implementation of their associated actions.You will support the Divisional Quality and Safety Advisor and provide advice and direction to frontline staff to ensure the division is prepared for compliance assessments both internally and via external agencies such as the Care Quality Commission.

Under the leadership of our Chair, Jacqui Smith and Matthew Trainer, our Chief Executive we provide care for the residents of three diverse London boroughs. We also provide outpatient services at Brentwood Community Hospital, Barking Hospital, Loxford Polyclinic and Harold Wood Polyclinic.

Working with them and with all our partners across north east London, we will find a sustainable solution to enhance patient care.
