Main duties of the job

Specialty Doctor Anaesthetics

The Trust seeks to appoint a Specialty Doctor in Anaesthetics to support the Anaesthetics Department at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals.

At BHRUT our first priority is the quality of care our patients receive. We are one of the largest University Hospitals, providing acute care for over 750,000 people across 2 main sites - Queen's & King George Hospitals. We are a specialist Trauma centre and have close links to the HEMS services. We are also a major cancer centre and Neurosciences centre with high quality hyper acute stroke services.

The appointee will work with the existing Consultants and Specialty Doctors to support the current theatres across the Trust, consistent with the strategic objectives of the Trust and Division to improve our RTT performance and commensurate our position as a major neurosciences and cancer centre. Alongside this the appointee would complete oncall shifts at night and weekends with a consultant and juniors.

This is a post for an ambitious, motivated team player.

In addition, our Trust is in an excellent location, close to Central London, the Olympic park, and well situated in the South East. As well as all the advantages of being close to the city, you will discover that Essex has a beautiful countryside as well as excellent schools, transport links, amenities and residential areas. The area is also being regenerated in line with the Cross Rail link.
