Main duties of the job
This role is to support the Trust with their information needs, providing
accurate and timely information from complex data sets, providing guidance
where appropriate.
We don't want spuddling, which is jumping up and down because two
numbers happen to be different. Numbers go up and down each month,
natural variation occurs, but it doesn't mean it is bad. We don't want to
waste resources overreacting. We want to know what the numbers are
signalling. We can then better direct people and hopefully support their
decision making.
We also need to make sure we are communicating this so it is easily
understood. There is no point in producing the greatest piece of analysis
ever seen if no one understands what it is telling them.
