Job summary

We need a suitably experienced Senior Physiotherapist with an interest in Neurology and Long Term Conditions to join our well established, specialist out-patient services at the Walton Centre.

Knowledge of the management of patients with long term neurological conditions, neuro-muscular disorders and functional neurological disorders is essential. Experience of liaison across various health care teams and experience of working autonomously are also a pre-requisite for the role.

You will have excellent organisational skills, be an effective team player and have a flexible approach to service delivery. You will have an interest in audit and research with a commitment to CPD. Your clinical and professional development will be supported by a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist Therapist and the Professional Lead for Physiotherapy through regular appraisals and training.

Main duties of the job

  • Establish and manage a clinical caseload including long term conditions, neuromuscular disorders and functional neurological diagnoses.
  • To work collaboratively with other clinicians, including medical and nursing staff to influence service development and ensure quality of care is delivered
  • To provide clinical education and training to other health care professionals
  • Influence research and professional development for self and others.
  • Where appropriate participate in clinical rotations across all areas of the Walton Centre Therapy service as directed by Therapy Managers.
