Job summary
The role involves the provision of care for patients undergoing spinal surgery, with spinal cord injury or spinal conditions during their in-patient stay and into the out-patient setting. The role enhances the patient experience during and after their admission by meeting their individual needs,and supporting them through their experience.
The role is varied depending upon patient need, with the opportunity to enhance knowledge and skills. You will be supported in managing care for spinal patients and working with the MDT to ensure patient receive the highest standard of care.
You will be an integral member of the Spinal team playing a part in the wider remit of the spinal nursing team by providing post-operative care and advice, as required, and support nursing staff to develop their knowledge and skills within the specialty.
It is essential that applicants have practical experience within the Spinal / Orthopaedic field and preferable that they hold the clinical examination module of the MSc pathway complemented by a high level of personal and professional credibility.
