Job summary

We are looking for dynamic and proactive scrub staff to join our team to maintain the delivery of safe, high quality, patient-focused care within our Gynaecology and Obstetrics theatres. Therefore an exciting opportunity has arisen for scrub practitioners to take on a roles at Liverpool Women's Hospital.

We are looking for forward thinking and highly motivated practitioners, who are able to demonstrate good time management skills, you will also need to possess good communication skill (verbal, written & electronic) and have the ability to work as part of a cohesive team.

Main duties of the job

To perform as safe and competent clinical members of the team in theatre and to provide specialised holistic care for the peri-operative patient.

Contribute to an effective, motivated and competent workforce and ensure that high quality standards are maintained and developed.

Ensure the cleanliness of all the Operating Theatre areas and equipment at all times.

Prepare the Operating Theatre prior to and following operative procedures.

Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota as required.

Perform other duties as reasonably required to assist in the smooth running of the Operating Department.

Be responsible for the self-development of skills and competencies.

Maintain a broad understanding of the work of the Clinical Support Services and the Trust as a whole and actively contribute your ideas for the improvement of service provision.

  • Previous perioperative experience in theatre environment
