The team at Liverpool Women's Hospital are working in partnership with the surgical team at Alder Hey Children's Hospital to deliver a single neonatal service across the city. This means we can offer exciting opportunities for trainee ANNP's to join the biggest team of ANNPs in the UK to work across the Liverpool Neonatal Partnership.

As a Trainee ANNP at Liverpool Women's, you will be seconded to undertake a MSc programme in Advanced Paediatric and Neonatal Practice, validated by Salford University. Year one of the MSC programme includes specialty neonatal care modules, non-medical prescribing and clinical practice hours.
Continuing professional development is encouraged and you will be expected to participate actively in research, education, clinical governance, audit and guidelines. There are great opportunities for ANNPS looking for progression to further develop skills. You will be encouraged to develop all 4 pillars of advanced practice and be given opportunities to get involved in quality improvement and collaborate with leading paediatric and neonatal teams.
Main duties of the job
As a Trainee ANNP at Liverpool Women's, you will be seconded to undertake a Masters programme in Advanced Practice (Neonates), delivered by Salford University. This is a year long masters programme which includes speciality neonatal care modules, non-medical prescribing, research, dissertation modules, and ongoing clinical support of your emerging competence as an advanced Clinical Practitioner with a minimum of 500 clinical practice hours on the neonatal unit.
You will be supported for your clinical hours on the neonatal unit by our well established expert team of ANNPs and consultant Neonatologists.
On completion of the Masters you will undertake a supernumerary clinical role across the LNP partnership for a minimum of 12 months supported by a designated ANNP and wider clinical team, this is to consolidate your learning and prepare you for independent practice. You will follow an established clinical frame work supported by a portfolio, Lead Practitioner and Consultant supervision.
