Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to announce a new clinical fellow post for ST3-5 in endometriosis.
The post is aimed at an enthusiastic and committed candidate to develop confidence, experience and skills in working in a BSGE Endometriosis Accredited Centre. The job will involve looking after endometriosis patients, working in Clinic and also theatre. The candidate will also be expected to Help in the running of the service by being involved in the organisation and running of the endometriosis MDT and ongoing patient care and investigations. We carry out most surgery either laparoscopically or robotically so the candidate will gain experience in this also. The candidate will also be supported in developing relevant quality improvement projects, audits, publications, and presentations to help boost their CV, in addition, to clinical training via attendance of Gynaecology/ Endometriosis OPD and theatres. The role will also involve working in Obstetrics ANC/ DS/ Elective Caesarean section lists.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join the full on call rota: ST3 -5 on call.
The job will involve looking after endometriosis patients, working in Clinic and also theatre. The candidate will also be expected to Help in the running of the service by being involved in the organisation and running of the endometriosis MDT and ongoing patient care and investigations. We carry out most surgery either laparoscopically or robotically so the candidate will gain experience in this also.
The successful candidate would be expected to support the general Obstetrics and Gynaecology service.
The applicant will be invited to take part in independent general gynaecology clinics, the consultant ward round rota with a consultant buddy/ indirect supervision. Depending on their learning needs.

- MRCOG Part 1
- Language skills as assessed by the GMC

- Foundation Year Level-2 competencies including evidence of competence in BLS and ALS
- 4 years post registration Completion or nearing completion of ST3 competencies by appointment
- Work place based assessments and OSATS showing competency for procedures at ST3- 5 level and above (See RCOG training matrix)
- Knowledge of benign gynaecology health issues
