We have an exciting opportunity to join Liverpool Women's Hospital Digital systems team in the full-time role of Digital Nurse.

We are seeking applications form registered nurses who have demonstrable experience in the clinical setting and can use this to identify and support system build for optimisation, the successful candidate will be the clinical professional responsible for providing the link between system development and clinical staff at all levels to support optimal development and usage of Digital clinical systems.

Main duties of the job

The post holders will perform a key role in the implementation for the Trusts Digital Systems, providing clinical leadership by identifying requirements and ensuring they are met through effective communication, system development, testing and training.

You will be the 'go to' person ensuring that the system design meets the requirements and achieves its key goal of improving productivity, sharing of information and improving patient outcomes.

The right individual will identify requirements and make changes adhering to best clinical safety practice. As part of the wider Digital Systems Team, you will modify Digital systems to work effectively for our patients and communicate and train best practice to our staff.

There will be opportunity for the candidate to be innovative and identify opportunities to develop ensuring that we improve the overall digital maturity of the Trust and whilst standards of clinical safety are maintained throughout. You will be offered comprehensive training on the Digital systems the Trust utilises to support you in this role.

The post holder must have Nursing experience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be effective in their role. This will include communicating with all Trust staff.

  • To provide professional support and guidance to Nurses/AHPs and other staff in relation to digital Nursing and AHP work.
  • Review current clinical documentation procedures and configure new system optimisations.
  • Actively participate in local, national, and international networking to maintain and develop expert level of knowledge. Ensuring engagement with the regional digital work streams
  • To develop effective lines of communication between the digital team and clinicians, through a variety of strategies
  • To be responsible for disseminating important messages, updates, and information as required to ensure effective communication channels.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chief Nursing Information Officer for the Trust and the Clinical safety Officers to implement the Clinical safety Management system and to drive safety.
  • Establish good relationships and leadership with staff at all levels to motivate and advise on achieving high standards of care.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication with individuals within the wider midwifery and nursing team and other health professional regarding patients conditions, care planning and treatments.
  • Work closely and flexibly with other team members to ensure effective working arrangements.
  • Produce appropriate documentation for all elements of projects for which the post is responsible.
