Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Genomics Medicine department based at Liverpool Women's Hospital for a part time (28 hours per week) Band 3 Clinical Typist to join the team on a permanent basis.
The post holder will provide clinical typing and administrative support to consultants and other staff members within Genetics, dealing with clinic correspondence, letters and reports as required, undertake filing in Patient Records and Genetics in accordance with the Trust Records Management Policy. The post holder will also assist with telephone enquiries, filing and other associated administrative tasks.
Main duties of the job
Provide a professional clinical typing service to consultants, clinicians and other Unit staff as required, using audio transcription or copy typing and DICT8. Ensure all typing is accurate, including medical terminology and all personal/GP details are checked against patient notes and Meditech/Summary Care Record where necessary. File correspondence and other documents with care and attention. Use Trust Patient Access Services such as Meditech and IDEAS as required eg Demographic information, equality monitoring data. Where you are required to record data on any system, regardless of the type of media, you must ensure that is it up to date, accurate.
