Job summary
The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre welcomes volunteers and we are currently looking for volunteers to work with our Creative Arts in Health Programme to support The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and its service users and staff.
The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Arts in Health programme uses creativity to improve patient's health outcomes during and after cancer treatment and provides creative opportunities and experiences for our local and wider community. We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to be part of our Arts in Health team, if you are interested in supporting our Arts in Health Programme at our Liverpool centre, we are currently seeking volunteers for the following regular shifts:
- Tuesdays 09:00 to 12:00 (3 hours) or 13:00 to 16:00 (3 hours) or 09:00 to 16:00 (6 hours, lunchbreak between 12:00 and 13:00)
- Thursdays 09:00 to 12:00 (3 hours)
- 1stTuesday and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 12:00 to 14:30
Main duties of the job
The volunteer will be located The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool. Our Arts co-ordinator will provide comprehensive training and support, to help you provide the best service possible and get the most out of your volunteering. Through regular contact, we will ensure you are happy in your role and have opportunities to develop. You must be aged 16 or above. We do not ask for formal qualifications - simply that you are friendly, caring, approachable and reliable. You must be willing to commit to volunteer with us and undergo the relevant recruitment checks and mandatory training. Before you can take up a volunteer role, shortlisted applicants are invited for an informal chat / interview. If successful, all volunteers complete the Trusts mandatory training and any role specific training that is required. The team also carry out required clearances including references, Occupational Health Check and DBS check.
