Are you looking for an opportunity to champion and drive forward nutrition and dietetics in cancer and palliative care?Do you believe that addressing nutritional needs has a positive impact on the outcome of cancer?An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified dietitian to join the dietetic team. You will be working as part of the wider AHP team to help provide specialist dietetic services to a variety of patients with cancer.
If you want to be part of a fantastic team and help support the Trust with our vision for providing the best cancer care in the country, then we want to hear from you.We are looking for a HCPC registered dietitian with good general and nutrition support experience and preferably some experience or an active interest in oncology dietetics. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team and also on your own initiative.
In conjunction with the Band 7 Oncology Dietitians and the Nutrition Nurse Practitioner, to provide, monitor and plan oncology dietetic services as part of the Allied Health Professionals Team liaising and working closely with all members of the multiprofessional team to provide a high standard of care.
Main duties of the job
Oncology Dietitian
Part time 31.9 hrs/week
? To provide a comprehensive high quality dietetic service to patientsreceiving care from Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology.? To participate in audit and research and contribute to the standardsdevelopment pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.? To provide expert knowledge, education, advice and support tohealthcare professionals as part of the management of people with cancer.
