Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our myeloid/ haemato-oncology team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Aintree as a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist in Haemato- oncology.

The post holder will provide specialist advice and support to patients and their carers throughout their care pathway, as well as providing education and support to staff throughout the trust. The post holder will support the consultant team as well as delivering nurse led services for patients with haemato-oncology.

This role is currently based at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Aintree .

You should possess advanced clinical skills, be an excellent communicator, leader and educator, and be highly motivated to lead and deliver a service. A background in cancer nursing is ideal, recent experience in working within the specialty of haemato-oncology would be beneficial.

Main duties of the job

? Leads the development of patientfocused education, including training toself-manage ongoing consequences oftreatment.

? Be an active part in attending caseconferences, SRGs and MDTs asrequired.

Actively participates in multi-professionalmeetings, acting as patient advocate andrepresenting nursing views.

? Takes personal responsibility for lifelong learning and personal developmentthrough clinical supervision, appraisaland maintaining compliance with Trustmandatory training.
