Ward Manger -Chemotherapy Treatment Unit, Liverpool - Permanent - 37.5 hours Monday - Friday.
The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre (CCC) has an exciting opportunity for a ward manager to join our Chemotherapy Treatment Unit, Liverpool.
The successful candidate will be expected to be a motivated leader, with excellent proven managerial and leadership skills, who has the drive and passion to create an inspirational learning and working environment. The candidate will be expected to continuously strive for the highest standards of quality care at CCC and has patient safety at the forefront of the services and care provided. You will be supported in your role by the Division Nurse Director, Matron, and a team of nursing staff.
The candidate will have significant experience in the delivery of all Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT). Experience will be required to lead and manage multiple teams to deliver excellent cancer care services.
Main duties of the job
The Ward Manager will be accountable and responsible for ensuring the safe and effective day to day management of all clinical services within the chemotherapy unit. They will work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) across the Trusts sector hub model to ensure safe delivery of all patient pathways, as the service delivers complex treatments, it is essential that the Ward Manager can operate in a changing environment, enabling and sustaining excellent performance, creating a culture of high quality, compassionate care that strives to continuously improve.They will be responsible for managing the performance of all the KPI's within the department and managing and developing the performance of the team and ensuring that systems and processes are in place for the completion and management of staff rotas and allocation of staff annual leave.They will provide daily visible clinical leadership, to ensure high quality excellent patient care and effective team work.They will ensure that the CQC's five key questions are embedded and incorporated into the day to day management of the chemotherapy Unit;? - Registered General Nurse.
- First level degree in related subject.
- Evidence of continued professional development .
- Advanced Communications Skills Training or prepared to work towards.
