Job summary
A permanent vacancy for a Senior Radiographer or Clinical Technologist has become available in Treatment Planning. The post holder will be required to create and quality check radiotherapy treatment plans in addition to other tasks required to prepare radiotherapy treatment plans. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated members of staff who will act as positive role models to all staff, demonstrate leadership and excellent team work.
The post holder is expected to work across all three sites. Home working is available with sufficient experience and upon agreement with the Expert Practitioner for the area.
Main duties of the job
Plan radiotherapy treatments within the Pre-Treatment Department.
To act as a resource for Treatment Planning technical and practical information to departmental and other staff groups.
Ensure smooth running of an area by contributing to the organisation of the department assigned to.
Maintaining the skills required to be a versatile member of the pre-treatment department.
Actively involved in training rotational radiographers and students throughout pre-treatment areas.
Maintenance of high standards in planning pre-treatment areas and patient care.
To attain and maintain plan checker status in Treatment Planning for a wide-range of treatments.
Accurately record planning details and issues regarding details.
Maintain channels of communication throughout the Physics Business Unit and Radiotherapy Directorate
