The Clatterbridge Cancer is the largest networked cancer centre serving a population of 2.4 million across Merseyside and Cheshire. Main duties of the job
The main duties of the post are:
Day to Day management of the CCC Biobank and Trials Laboratory in line with MHRA and HRA legislation guidance and regulations. Ensure all required internal and external reports are submitted including all NHS Research Ethics reporting.
Responsible for the provision of regular progress reports, briefings and papers on the progress of the Biobank and laboratory to relevant meetings. Identifying areas of risk which may impact on achievement of project objectives and overall performance.
Communication with a wide range of stakeholders including personnel, both internally and externally. The post holder will have excellent presentation skills with the ability to express coherent and convincing views, verbally and in writing.
Provides proactive leadership and line-management of the biobank and trials laboratory staff
Acts as key point of contact for day-to-day operations of the Biobank and laboratory. Successful staff member will need to cover any call-outs for freezer breakdown, lab staff for PK samples.
