Are you looking for an opportunity to champion and drive forward nutrition and dietetics in cancer and palliative care?Do you believe that addressing nutritional needs has a positive impact on the outcome of cancer?An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified dietitian to join the dietetic team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust. This is a newly created post to expand our HPB Dietetic team. You will be working as part of the wider AHP team to help provide specialist dietetic services to patients with HPB cancer.
If you want to be part of a fantastic team and help support the Trust with our vision for providing the best cancer care in the country, then we want to hear from you.We are looking for a HCPC registered dietitian with good general and nutrition support experience and preferably some experience or an active interest in HPB oncology dietetics. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team and also on your own initiative.
Main duties of the job
- To work alongside the Band 7 HPB Dietetic Clinical Lead and HPB Dietetic Assistant to support the HPB Cheshire and Merseyside HPB pathway at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre
- To work collaboratively with the pathway HPB Dietitian and Dietetic Assistant at LUFHFT (Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation Trust) to ensure seamless patient care
- To work alongside the Clatterbridge Dietetic Team and Clinical Nutrition Nurses, to provide, monitor and plan oncology dietetic services liaising and working closely with all members of the multi professional team to provide a high standard of care.
- To provide a comprehensive high quality dietetic service to patients receiving care from Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology.
- To collate relevant KPI data required for the post with Dietetic Assistant support and report back quarterly to Cancer Alliance with band 7 HPB Dietitian support
- To participate in audit and research and contribute to the standards development pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.
