The Trust is looking to appoint to the post of a Digital Trainer to support the effective planning and delivery of high quality and innovative clinical training and educational development programmes to our medical and non-medical workforce, including Nursing and Allied Health Professions.

The Digital Trainer will contribute to the development of a learning culture where both education and lifelong learning are seen as integral to clinical practice and will positively contribute to the development of a workforce fit for purpose, proactively responding to clinical services in the delivery of a competent and skilled workforce.

The post is for 5 days per week, working a mixture of home and office based in CCC Wirral and CCC Liverpool

This role requires you to work as part of a team to ensure the effective performance of digital clinical systems used at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre (CCC). As a Training Team we support the development and maintenance of the digital clinical systems within the Trust, and work with the Clinical Systems Administrator to deliver specific work packages

Main duties of the job

You will support/ lead on areas e.g. Clinical, Nursing, Radiotherapy, AHPs & other health professionals and Patient Services and also work with wider programme teams to support project delivery and benefits realisation. As part of the Training Team you will work with a variety of staff groups including medical and non-medical staff; effective communication skills are therefore essential. Good interpersonal skills are also important as you will be required to support the training of new employees & provide refresher training to existing staff.

This vacancy would suit a qualified Trainer looking to be part of a team, who can provide a high level of mentoring and support on an on-going basis. Our organisation is driven by our strategic objectives and organisational values and we look for people who are strongly aligned with them.

Our team train in a variety of ways; office based, at one of our two sites in Liverpool or Wirral, or via Teams and Webinars. We are continually updating and improving our training material and ensure we link in with key individuals within the Trust to ensure our training is relevant. As well as training new staff, and those returning to work, we also frequently support staff on the ground in their clinical areas of work. We are currently devising new gamified learning solutions which add to the array of training techniques and delivery that we offer. It's a very exciting time to get involved in the delivery of clinical systems training.

He or she must be able to effectively communicate with others to find out any problems or concerns with the system and then be able to either work with suppliers or other sections within Digital to address the concerns or repair any problems.

Good interpersonal skills are also important as the trainer will be required to support the training of new employees & provide support to existing staff members.

The trainer will be responsible for researching andlearning about new systems and making recommendations to senior management as to the best information system or process to use andimplement in the hospital. They are also responsible for troubleshooting problems and challenges within the clinical information systems. This may include clinical processes, software problems, and hardware issues.

The trainer also performs period checks to ensure that data is entered and retrieved correctly and that all regulations regarding confidentially and security are being followed.
