Job summary

  • To work as part of the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust (RCHT) Nutrition and Dietetic team providing dietetic support and advice to patients and health professionals with a wide clinical remit.
  • To contribute, as appropriate to policy development.
  • To develop appropriate resources as required.
  • To assess and treat an agreed caseload of patients under the supervision of a more senior practitioner
  • To keep accurate records in accordance with RCHT and Health Professions Council regulations/policy.

Main duties of the job

To deliver a quality, evidence based nutrition and dietetic service within a defined section of the Nutrition and Dietetic team.

May be required to deliver a service to more complex clinical areas under the direct supervision of a more senior practitioner.

To be responsible for nutrition and dietetic participation in multi-professional groups and contribute to policy making as directed by the lead Dietitian.

May be required to deliver a service in different locations.

To work as member of the County wide Nutrition and Dietetic team.

RCHT is working towards seven day service delivery and the post holder may be expected to work on weekends and bank holidays
