Job summary

The Research & Development Team are looking for a an individual to manage external and internal research communications for the Royal Cornwall Hospitals in relation to the Cornwall Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC) and work with our clinicians, researchers and members of the public to facilitate and increase Patient and Public Involvement & Engagement throughout the community. The role will include promoting and protecting the reputation of the Research & Development Department within the Trust and to facilitate the delivery of effective communication with colleagues working across our hospitals. The role would involve working with a wide range of audiences and uses different communication channels to keep messages relevant, appealing and informative.

Main duties of the job

To provide an excellent research communications service by carrying out and leading on a range of communications activities including Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) in research and the Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC) for Cornwall

To improve and enhance the Trust's internal and external communications function in relation to research through a range of channels, producing written and video content, whilst engaging with the public

Promoting a positive research image of the Trust to staff, the media and key stakeholders, ensuring messages are communicated in an effective and timely manner.
