Job summary

There is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our team to carry out a varied and challenging role as an MDT Co-ordinator. Cancer Services provides support to selected MDT teams within the organisation, tracking and monitoring patient's treatment pathways to help deliver optimal pathways and care to patients.

We are looking for a candidate to work 30 hours a week over 4 or 5 days to cover 9 months of maternity leave.

Main duties of the job

The MDT Co-ordinators provide administrative support to the Cancer Multidisciplinary Teams meetings as well as recording, tracking and collecting data on all patients with suspected or confirmed malignancy and all associated treatments.

  • Three GCSE's (or equivalent) level 'C' Maths and English.

Desirable

  • NVQ 3 Business Admin/IT or equivalent, AMSPAR or RSA 3 Word Processing

Experience

  • Office experience
  • Meeting note taking
  • Experience of Microsoft Office including word, excel and access
  • Experience communicating effectively with staff of different disciplines

Desirable

  • Office experience in acute setting
  • Cancer register, PAS, Maxims system use experience
  • Minute taking/ Live typing in meetings
  • Experience of managing PTL's and tracking patients

Knowledge

  • Ability to work on own initiative with guidance available from immediate supervisor
