Job summary
We are currently looking for a Sterile Services Production Controller to work in our busy Sterile Services Department. The department provides an important service within the Hospital, decontaminating and sterilizing surgical instruments for the Operating Theatres/Wards, Departments and external customers. The department is fully accredited to European Standards and works within a Quality System. The department has various shifts, which cover the 24-hour day.
Applicants will also be given training to cover the full range of the decontamination cycle for surgical instruments and theatre sets which will contribute towards the achievement of DTM & WTM4 for HTM compliance and ISO 13485 internal auditor for the department QMS.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a team of production controllers supporting the management team, managing a team of supervisors that supervise the Sterile Services Technicians and Sterile Services Drivers. Previous experience of decontamination, sterile services and managing a team will be essential.
This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week, working predominantly Monday to Friday, you may be required to work on various shifts covering days, evenings, weekends and some nights, and may be required to be on-call and work bank holidays.
