Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with proven IT application training experience and communication skills who will be delivering a curriculum of relevant and effective training courses to learners.

Working with members of the training team, the successful candidate will be delivering quality, consistent and professional IT training to staff in both clinical and non-clinical applications. You will also be responsible for creating training plans, course support materials, end user guides, and developing innovative ways of delivery and engaging learners.

This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, part time hours will be considered. It may be necessary for the post holder to work as part of an on-call rota and participate in flexible working hours in order to provide training or out of hours support to Cornwall Healthcare Community.

3 x 11 month posts and 3 x 13 month posts are available. End date of FTC is dependant on start date of successful candidate. Secondments will be considered from RCHT candidates who must seek approval from their line manager before applying. If a secondment is not an option RCHT candidates must be willing to convert to a FTC.

Unfortunately, due to budgetary constraints we are unable us to support visa sponsorship for this role.

The recruiting panel will therefore only be able to consider applications from candidates that already possess the right to work in the UK for the duration of the fixed term contract.

Main duties of the job

Experience of using the Patient Administration System (PAS)

Experience of using eNotes, Maxims and other clinical systems

  • 3 years IM&T related experience or a related degree
  • Previous training position, proven experience of teaching class sizes up to 10 people of varying skill levels and backgrounds.

Desirable

  • Experience of writing training materials, lesson planning, course development, health related work experience
  • Awareness of IM&T issues in the NHS especially related to the NHS Connecting for Health programme

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent 3 years IM&T experience
  • IT qualification such as ECDL, professional training/teaching qualification
