Job summary

The post holder will provide direct assistance to the Overseas Business and Performance Manager supporting the management of Overseas legislation and related Department of Health and other guidance and oversee the identification, interview, assessment, and investigation of Overseas Visitors across both the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust and Cornwall Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

You will work flexibly supporting the operational Care Groups in the day-to-day performance management of Overseas Visitors, as well as providing advice and support to ensure the delivery of effective Overseas Visitor management across the healthcare system. You will act as a point of reference for queries on the application of the Overseas guidance and lead on audit programmes to monitor adherence. You will also lead on the development and delivery of training relating to all aspects of overseas management to elective services.

  • Experience of dealing with highly complex information.
  • Evidence of success in roles requiring ability to work on and progress range of complex issues simultaneously.
  • Significant proven experience in managing administration functions
  • Able to demonstrate level of administrative/management knowledge and theory.
  • Proven experience of managing patient pathways.
  • Experience of successfully dealing with people at all levels

Desirable

  • Experience of similar or role of equivalent seniority within the NHS
  • Previous NHS operational management experience
  • Knowledge of Overseas Visitor legislation and DOH guidance.

  • ECDL or equivalent experience in Microsoft Office and email applications
  • 5 GCSE grade C or above or equivalent, including Mathematics and English
