Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Ward Catering Assistant
To be responsible for a quality service of food and beverages to our patients at ward level, following set procedures and specifications.
To be responsible for kitchen cleaning and the standards of hygiene within the kitchens at ward level and ensuring that the service complies with Food Safety Legislation.
You will ensure that high quality Food Hygiene and cleaning standards are maintained at all times.
You will be required to work within a team and will need good communication skills to maintain working relationships within the team and present a positive and professional image to patients and visitors.
Main duties of the job

Food Hygiene Level 2
Knowledge of food handling and cleaning procedures
Good communication in English, both written and oral
Ability to demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to work as a team member as well as on own initiative
To understand and observe the Data Protection Act and Trust policy regarding confidentiality.
