Strategy, Partnership and Innovation Lead

Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust

The closing date is 15 January 2025

Job summary

We're seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking individual to join our Strategy Team at RCHT. As a senior leader within our team, you will join us as we approach year 3 of our 10 year strategy and will work with both clinical and operational colleagues to help us realise our aspirations. This is an exciting time in strategy, as we seek to understand the expectations and ambitions of our new Government and what this means for us as an acute provider. You will support development of clinical enabling strategies, bringing with you your expertise in strategy, planning, and engagement. Leading strategic projects across the organisation, and between organisations within our Integrated Care System, we will ensure you have a rewarding workplace experience that also stretches you professionally.

Core to enabling our strategy, is building strong and effective partnerships with both our neighbouring healthcare providers such as colleagues in primary care, but also with our local universities. As we pursue University Hospital Status, you will have a key role in leading our partnerships with the universities, supporting collaborative business cases and other joint projects.

Our Trust has a thriving programme of innovation which we continually evolve. As a Trust Innovation Leader, you will have a core role in supporting local innovators to bring their ideas to fruition - and will lead delivery of our Innovation Strategy to further build our reputation as a leader in healthcare innovation.

Main duties of the job

You will take a leadership role in the continued implementation of our Trust Strategy, facilitating strategic projects which help us towards our vision of Outstanding Care for One and All. As an advocate of our Trust Values, you will work collaboratively with clinical and operational colleagues to further develop enabling strategies, underpinned by effective delivery plans.

This role will have an emphasis on partnership working. You will represent the Trust in partnership meetings across the Integrated Care System - working strategically across Primary Care, Community Care and the Trust to support development of relationships between providers and in turn supporting initiatives which will ultimately improve the care we provide across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

You will be a Trust Innovation Leader - working with our small innovation team to help our local innovators turn their ideas into reality using our well-established Innovation Pathway. You will manage the programme budget, and will be co-responsible for the management of our innovation programme. You will help to foster a culture of innovation, again working in partnership both with local colleagues and our regional partners.
