This role is an exciting opportunity to work within the Uro-Oncology CNS team as the Royal Cornwall Hospital, caring for patients from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond with a Urological malignancy.
You will need to be flexible and adaptable with excellent communication and organisational skills and most importantly unlimited enthusiasm.
Fixed term for 18 months
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team within the Urology Diagnostic and Treatment Unit at the Royal Cornwall Hospital. The post holder will provide excellence in care within their sphere of responsibilities. Communication between all members of the team is vital to the success of this role.
This post is predominately office based, with the expectation to attend clinics, ward visits and ad hoc face-to-face patient support as needed. As we develop our service, supporting the ward teams with Urological issues to facilitate timely discharges and clinical support will be within the development of the role.
A large part of the role is the giving of a urological cancer diagnosis, discuss treatment options and the plans going forward. This role has a strong link to the 2ww suspected cancer pathway for Urological malignancies and ongoing monitoring post treatment.
