We are now
seeking to appoint a Band 7 Theatre Speciality Manager to lead the Theatre
Gynaecology and Obstetric team.
We are seeking
a highly motivated, hard-working Operating Department Practitioner or
Registered Nurse. You will join our Theatre team in the role of Band 7
Speciality Manager Theatres alongside our existing theatre management team.
We are looking
for forward thinking individuals who can help us to build a better future
through best practice and quality care.
Experience in Gynaecology and Obstetrics Theatres along with proven
leadership abilities would be an advantage for this role.
As a member of
our team, you will be working collaboratively with the Matron and the Senior
Team to enhance good practice through Clinical and professional leadership.
You will be a
skilled member of the team, responsible for providing high quality, safe and
personal care to our patients.

Main duties of the job
Within this
role, you will provide experienced and professional leadership to the theatre
team and be responsible for the effective management of staff within your team,
ensuring they are adequately trained, educated and skilled, and that all
professional practice is in accordance with the appropriate codes of practice.
You will be
responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating clinical care
within the perioperative environment and support patients through
investigation, diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
We have busy
theatre departments on three sites and provide care for patients undergoing a
range of surgical specialties including Orthopaedics, General Surgery,
Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Urology, ENT, Head and Neck, Vascular and Paediatrics

- Extensive post registration experience, some of which will be at Band 6 or above within the required specialist area of practice.
