We are seeking
to Appoint a hardworking Band 7 Endoscopy Unit Manager at
both Sunderland Royal and South Tyneside sites, with some cross-site working as
required. This is a rare opportunity due
to retirement and career progression within Endoscopy.
We are looking
for forward-thinking individuals who can help build for the future through best
practice and quality care.
As a member of our
team, you will be working collaboratively with the Endoscopy Clinical and
Operational Lead and the Senior Team to enhance good practice through clinical
and professional leadership.
Main duties of the job
You must possess the following:
Be
a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
Degree
in Nursing studies or healthcare-related subject (UK equivalent).
Mentorship
certificate/Practice Assessor training or demonstrate equivalent experience.
Extensive
post-registration, which a substantive amount must be at recent Band 6 level.
Experience
in Endoscopy or similar environment.
Experience
of leading a team and a Leadership/Management Course or be willing to work
towards.
Experience
of change management.
Thorough
understanding of contemporary nursing and operating department issues.
Evidence
of innovation in practice.
Knowledge
of best practice within Endoscopy.
Knowledge
and understanding of JAG accreditation.
Competent
in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
Effective
communication skills.
Effective
problem-solving skills using the Team when appropriate.
Knowledge
and or experience of budget management.
Willing to work
flexible hours to meet the needs of the Service.
