South Tyneside and Sunderland Foundation Trust seeks Applications
for a friendly team player for a Trust Grade Doctor Post at
CT3/ST3+ level or equivalent. You will participate in the
provision of service primarily-based in Intensive Care on the South Tyneside
hospital site. Whilst primary duties
will be in intensive care, there may be opportunities to practice in Anaesthesia.
You may need to provide medical care
for patients receiving level 3 care being transferred between Trust sites and
to tertiary centres.
Main duties of the job
This Post will allow you to further-develop your clinical
skills and experience in a supportive and dynamic department, with a track
record for excellence in training. As a specialty doctor you will be entitled
to study leave and the Post attracts 1.5 SPA per week. Clinical and educational
supervision will be provided, with opportunities for development in leadership
and management, quality improvement and medical education.
The Post is based over both acute sites within the Trust. The out-of-hours resident duties of this Post
will primarily be based at the six-bed Intensive Care Unit at South Tyneside
Hospital on a 1:9 rota. Some activity may
possibly be delivered in the 16-bed Intensive Care Unit in Sunderland. Sessions in Anaesthesia may also be available.
You
will work in a team of trainees from the Northern School of Anaesthesia &
ICM, Specialty Doctors and Consultant intensivists.
You must be fully-registered with the
General Medical Council, with a licence to practice, and have significant
demonstrable experience in intensive care and anaesthesia within the NHS.
