South
Tyneside and Sunderland NHS FT Anaesthetic Department seeks Applications for a friendly team player for a Trust Grade Doctor Post at CT3/ST3
level or equivalent. You will participate in the provision
of service primarily based on the South Tyneside Hospital site with some duties
in Sunderland.
You may need to provide medical care for patients receiving Level 3
care being transferred between Trust sites and to tertiary centres.
Main duties of the job
This Post will allow you to further-develop your clinical
skills and experience in a supportive and dynamic department with a track
record for excellence in training. As a Trust Doctor you will be entitled to
study leave and the Post attracts one SPA per week. Clinical and educational
supervision will be provided, with opportunities for development in leadership
and management, quality improvement and medical education.
The Post is based over both acute sites within the Trust. The out-of-hours resident duties of this Post
will primarily be based at the six-bed Intensive Care Unit at South Tyneside
Hospital on a 1:9 rota. Some activity
will be delivered in the 16-bed Intensive Care Unit in Sunderland. Sessions in anaesthesia may also be available
if desired for doctors with a background in anaesthesia.
You
will work in a team of trainees from the Northern School of Anaesthesia &
ICM, Trust Doctors and Consultant intensivists. The Post is ideally-suited to
those that have completed CT2 training and are looking to further their skills
and experience. It is envisaged you will gain a portfolio of competences and
experiences that will enhance your future career.
You must be fully-registered with the
General Medical Council with a licence to practice. Applications from
