Job summary

This is a great opportunity to join the renal dialysis team at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Trust.

Sunderland Satellite Dialysis Units are based in Durham and Washington and are part of the Renal Outpatient Team. You will work alongside specialist experienced renal staff to provide safe effective care for our patients.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and forward thinking registered nurse to work as part of this team. Renal experience is desirable but not essential for this role.

The successful candidate will be supernumerary for 6 months and trained in all aspects of the role with competency based assessments and mentoring.

This vacancy is not suitable for international nurses wishing to join the Trust as an Adaptation Nurse. These vacancies will be advertised separately via NHS Jobs when they arise.

This is currently a 6 day service Monday to Saturday 06:00 17:30

Main duties of the job

Renal Satellite Units provide outpatient dialysis care to patients living in and around Washington and Durham

The successful candidate will be (when fully trained) will be responsible for delivering prescribed dialysis care to the outpatient population, coordinating patient flow and the day to day running of the unit

This is currently a 6 day service working Monday to Saturday

Shifts include 3 long days - 06:00 17:00, or 06:30 17:30 and, 1 half day - 06:30-12:30 or, 11:30-17:00

Staff can rotate between Washington and Durham on a weekly basis

Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
