Job summary
Sunderland Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology Unit (SDIN) are based at Sunderland Royal Hospital as part of the Renal Outpatient Team.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and forward thinking registered nurse to work as part of this small team.
You will work alongside experienced renal staff to provide safe effective care for our patients.
You will be working within the Renal department and Radiology department
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be trained in all aspects of the role with competency based assessments and mentoring.
The main duties are assisting the Consultants with renal biopies, insertion and removal of vascular catheters and peritoneal catheters etc., phlebotomy, male and female catheterisation and USS of vascular access.
You will be required to work independently once fully trained, supporting junior staff.
The working hours are 08:00-18:00 Monday Friday

- Clinical Teaching experience.
