Job summary
We are looking for an
enthusiastic and organised individual to join the Cancer Services team at South
Tyneside and Sunderland Foundation Trust as Cancer MDT / Information Assistant.
The post will be office based
during training with an option of agile / home working or being office based
following this. We are also happy to support flexible working arrangements
where possible to meet individuals needs.
You will be Educated to GSCE
level (3 or more) at Grade 4 (Grade C) including Maths and English (or Adult
Numeracy & Literacy Level 2) or have an NVQ Level 3.
Main duties of the job
This role does not involve direct
patient contact but supports patients on cancer pathways by liaising with admin
and clinical teams to monitor & coordinate timely patient care. The role
also involves the collation of information in the Trusts cancer database to
support effective pathway management and provide data for mandated cancer
returns and monitoring of performance targets.
The post holder will be required
to work both independently and as part of a team, and will need to have
excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a flexible and pro-active
approach, good attention to detail and be able to work to strict deadlines.
