An
opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time Junior Sister / Charge Nurse
on C30 at Sunderland Royal Hospital, covering a 24 hour, 7 days a week shift
pattern.
C30
is a 27-bedded surgical ward, providing care for complex general surgical
patients that have undergone emergency surgery.
We
are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed registered nurse with
excellent leadership and communication skills. The successful candidate will
support the Ward Manager to provide personalised care that encompasses the
values of STSFT.
Main duties of the job
You
will be able to maintain the high standards of the unit and deliver highly
efficient care to patients both pre and post operatively. In strive to ensure
that our patients receive safe and effective care, you will be responsible for
the coordination of the unit in the absence of the Ward Manager and the
management of junior staff.
You
will be someone who is excited by the prospect of providing the best possible
care for your patients, and passionate about developing and nurturing the
nursing team. Someone that is dynamic in their thinking, you will possess
excellent patient care, clinical competence and can demonstrate proactive
managerial skills.
Excellent
communication skills are essential in addition to proven teaching and assessing
certificate. You will also have a Degree in Adult Nursing or will be working
towards this.
