An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior nurse to join the team on Ward D41 as Ward Manager. Ward D41 is a busy Urology Ward that provides high quality, evidence-based nursing care to emergency and elective Urology patients.

The Ward Manager role is a pivotal nursing position in the delivery of high standards of care. The applicant will have experience of caring for acute surgical patients, deliver high quality leadership and have proven managerial experience. The applicant must be motivated, dynamic and work in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality care to our Urology patients.

Main duties of the job

To provide 24-hour accountability for patient safety on Ward D41.

To ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and withhold high standards across the clinical area.

To champion professional accountability in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards.

To ensure environmental standards are maintained.

Manage nursing resource, ensuring effective rostering practice to maintain delivery of safe and effective patient care.

To support the nursing workforce to perform to their full potential.

To uphold the organisations Vison and Values.
