The Directorate of Trauma and Orthopaedics is dynamic and

patient care and experience.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Plaster
Technician to join our team of Plaster Room Technicians, who work within our
busy and vibrant Orthopaedic department.
Our Plaster Services Team are responsible for the casting, splinting and
bracing needs of all our patients at STSFT, whilst also working closely with
patients to inform and educate them along their road to recovery.
The trainee Orthopaedic Plaster technician
will actively work alongside other practitioners in the Orthopaedic team to
provide a high quality, efficient and effective orthopaedic and trauma care to
patients in the Plaster Room, Theatres, and the Emergency Department.
The team see a wide variety of patients
within outpatient clinics, inpatient wards and theatres, treating both adult
and paediatric patients.
Main duties of the job
As a member of a busy
Plaster service within the Orthopaedic Directorate the post holder will be
expected to follow directions/instructions from the Orthopaedic technicians and
participate in individual patient treatments.
The ideal candidate
will be highly motivated, team player and committed to delivering a high
standard of patient care. You must also hold a British Orthopaedic casting
certificate.

where necessary.
To
be flexible to the needs of the service and patients at all times, ensuring a
streamlined, efficient service.
