We are delighted that the opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a part-time, self-motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic Junior Sister to join our team.

Ward F64 is a 17 bedded general paediatric ward which cares for children aged 1-16 years (or older if certain conditions).

We are seeking a confident, competent, enthusiastic and motivated applicant who will provide the highest standard of holistic care to children, young people and their families. You must have excellent communication skills, and be innovative in your approach. You should have a wide range of expertise in paediatric nursing as well as experience of working with the multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will have evidence of appropriate clinical skills and post-registration learning and development. You will be an experienced Childrens Nurse with the relevant qualifications for this role. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the ward, supporting the Ward Manager.

Ward F64 deals with a huge cross range of health problems and works with support of a dedicated Paediatric Medical team, child and family therapists and specialist community nurses.

You will be required to be highly visible, accessible and approachable to all staff, patients, families and carers to ensure that all nursing care on the ward is delivered effectively and efficiently to the highest standard in a safe and clean environment. You will provide leadership and management to the ward nursing team supporting the Ward Manager.
