Main duties of the job
To provide efficient and effective administrative support within Maternity Services at both Sunderland Royal Hospital and South Tyneside District Hospital.
This will involve carrying out admin and reception duties such as meeting/greeting patients and visitors to the unit, booking patients in via the electronic patient systems within the ante natal and delivery suite areas as and when required.
To answer telephone calls dealing with appointments and answering any queries or diverting the call to the appropriate health professional/service.
To assist in locating, tracking, transportation/delivery and storage of case notes. This will involve use of an off-site electronic system to store and retrieve maternity case notes.
