This an exciting opportunity to
join and help lead our established Nurse Manager team within the adult
emergency department.
This is an excellent opportunity for
someone who is looking for a new career challenge currently working within the
emergency care setting. We require an enthusiastic, committed and motivated
person with excellent communication and leadership skills to join our team.
The successful candidate will
provide clinical leadership, maintain high standards of care and ensure
efficient and safe management of our busy emergency department.
This position is a band 7 based
in the Emergency Department within the Directorate of Emergency Care. You will be
required to work 37.5 hours per week over a 24 hour period over 7 days.
The successful candidate will be RGN with experience in working in
emergency care enthusiastic, flexible and willing to develop their professional
practise. The successful
applicant would work as coordinator and flow facilitator in the department and
would manage a small team of staff with appraisals and HR issues.
The post is subject to a
satisfactory C.R.B. disclosure at enhanced level.

Experience of working in the emergency department
Able to communicate in English to level 2 standard
Basic Numeracy & Literacy skills to level 2 or equivalent
RN qualification adult Current NMC registration

Evidence of continuing professional development
Teaching Qualification Current ILS certificate
Awareness of National Health and government targets in relation to
Emergency Care Diploma or degree in nursing
Evidence of post registration study in emergency care
Proven Interpersonal skills Mentoring skills
