Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint
2 enthusiastic and highly organised individuals for the role of Clinical Site
Manager in a fast-paced moving environment.
The post holder must be dedicated to delivering a high standard of care,
ensuring smooth and efficient patient flow throughout the organisation. The role will provide senior nursing support,
professional and clinical advice both in and out of hours.
The post holder will possess excellent
interpersonal and communications skills and be confident in liaising with
clinical and non-clinical staff from varying backgrounds. The role of Clinical Site Manager is
fundamental in maintaining patient flow for elective and non-elective
admissions, as well as supporting teams to deliver various quality and
performance standards. It is essential
the post holder has the ability to work with clinical teams to ensure the Trust
has visibility of the overall site position including pressure points for
escalation.
You should be able to work independently
using your own professional judgement and initiative, have a sound clinical
background with effective decision making skills and the ability to work as
part of a wider team.
There are 2 posts available 1 WTE permanent
basis and 1 WTE fixed term until 04 November 2024.
Main duties of the job
To be
responsible for the day-to-day operational management of inpatient elective and
emergency flows
Have
responsibility for maintaining timely patient flow and obtaining and
maintaining accurate information within the Trust Where appropriate lead and or support
interventions / actions and escalation as required to facilitate patient flow
to support achievement of national targets
Provide
Leadership and expert advice to nursing staff acting as a point of contact out
of hours for professional nursing issues and safe and effective staffing
Respond to
Emergencies across the trust
Chair Bed
meetings
Liaise closely
with the clinical staff ensuring accurate information is available which
ensures timely bed allocation
The Clinical Site Management team provide a 24/7 service 365 days per year and therefore rotation from day shift to night shift is a requirement of the role, working flexibly across two acute hospital sites.
