Hours per week: 37.5 plus on-call.
We are currently looking to recruit compassionate Band 5 Radiographers or Radiography students qualifying in
2025 to join our friendly and fast-paced Radiology teams within South Tyneside
and Sunderland Foundation Trust.
As a radiographer you will rotate throughout the general
areas of the Department gaining valuable experience and enabling you to enhance
your skills and knowledge in ED, Orthopaedics, Mobile examinations, Theatre and
Fluoroscopy.

The Department is a recognised student training centre for
several universities-based programs and pro-actively supports CPD activities as
well as advocating advanced practice and expansion of clinical skills.
The Department provides a seven-day/24 hours service to our patients and participation
in this is essential. This is currently covered on a rota basis with plans to
implement a shift system in the future.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job include working as a key member
of the Department across all areas of general X-ray, ensuring a high standard
of clinical radiography and patient care whilst complying with all Trust and
departmental policies and procedures, as well as following IRR and IR(ME)R
legislation.
This will require you to utilise a range of radiographic
equipment and IT software systems, such as RIS and PACS, and operate effectively
under the HCPC standards of proficiency.
You should be able to demonstrate
excellent patient care, communication and interpersonal skills and understand
the importance of following Standard Operating Policies and procedures of work.
