We are looking to Appoint a full-time Scheduling Manager to work in our Outpatients Team. This role involves the line-management of a Scheduling team, managing waiting lists, ensuring RTT treatment targets are achieved and maintained, and that patients are reviewed within a clinically-appropriate timeframe.

The Post is fixed-term, for 37.5 hours a week, with the ideal candidate able to work Monday to Friday. This role will challenge your skills and will allow you to progress and professionally-develop in a friendly and supportive team.

Main duties of the job

We are responsible for scheduling outpatient services across multiple hospital and community sites in the South Tyneside and Sunderland location. We are based at Sunderland Royal Hospital.

The Outpatient Scheduling Manager will have line-management responsibility for the Outpatient Scheduling Coordinators and Scheduling Assistants within their team.

We are looking to recruit an individual to provide support to the Team members, comprehensive administrative and scheduling support to a group of clinical services.

You must have people-management skills, good administration skills, communication skills with customer service experience and be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office.

Experience of prioritising patients using a waiting list and reporting waiting list information is essential.

You will have attention to detail and the ability to prioritise incoming work so as to meet deadlines. With a strong emphasis on customer service, you will have good interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels.

You will play an essential role within the Team, helping to maintain standards and improve the Service for the benefit of patients and the clinical teams. You will be willing to adapt to change and learn new skills, having a good knowledge of NHS office procedures, to deliver high-quality administrative services and customer care.
