Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and well-motivated
and appropriately experienced Registered Nurse/HCPC registered health care
professional to take on a role of Senior Resuscitation Officer in the
Resuscitation Service at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a part time 18.75 hour per week permanent post, working in conjunction
with another part time Senior Resuscitation Officer to provide service cover
across a Monday Friday working week.
This post is subject to Enhanced CRB Disclosure.

Main duties of the job
This is an excellent opportunity for ongoing professional and leadership development. The role will incorporate the planning and
delivery of training at all levels, giving specialist advice across the Trust, and
ensuring the highest standard of practice in relation to resuscitation. The
post holder will attend as part of the cardiac arrest team when available.
The successful candidate will also help develop policies and procedures as
well as lead audit and projects to influence improvements in all aspects of resuscitation
and associated practice.
We require candidates to be a Registered Nurse or HCPC registered health
care professional and have significant post qualifying experience including
relevant experience in Urgent, Emergency, Critical or Acute care and be
educated to degree level. They should have significant experience working in a
Resuscitation training role at Band 6 level.
The successful candidate will hold current ALS and PILS Instructor status
as a minimum, have significant teaching experience and hold a teaching
qualification. They will have also
undertaken a clinical skills course and have developed their leadership skills.

Overall Job Purpose:
