Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic nurse with in-depth knowledge and understanding of Infection Prevention and Control to join the STSFT team.
Initial base will be South Tyneside District Hospital, however you will be expected to work across all Trust Sites.
Main duties of the job
The post
holder will act as a senior member of the Infection Prevention and Control Team
providing a responsive, effective and co-ordinated service in conjunction with
the multi-disciplinary team.
The post
holder will deputise for the Deputy Head of Infection Prevention and Control
when necessary.
Applicants
must be Registered General Nurses with higher level line management and
teaching experience. They will be required to work autonomously, able to
prioritise workload and demonstrate effective skills in leadership, change
management and communication. The post holder will be required to work across
acute and community services therefore car driver/access is essential.
The post
holder will be required to participate in a 7 day service across acute and
community settings.
