Job summary
We are looking to recruit a part-time Pharmacist Teaching Fellow
to work 1 day aweek (there may be
the opportunity for increased hours in future, subject to agreement by the
successful candidate and their manager,as the expected number of medical students increases) in the
Undergraduate Medical Education Department, as a member of the teaching team
for the University of Sunderland Medical School.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role include
planning, delivery and support of teaching related to pharmacy for the
University of Sunderland medical students.
The post holder will have the
opportunity to work both independently and as a part of a larger
team.Teaching opportunities are dynamic and will allow the successful
candidate to be creative and forward thinking. The Teaching Fellow will also
provide appropriate specialist medicines information and guidance to the
teaching team in relation to pharmaceutical matters.
This is a Band 8 appointment for pharmacists
seeking opportunities to enhance their careers. Though we would also encourage
the application of more senior pharmacists. The salary scale for this post is
equivalent to Band 8 or commensurate to the grading of the post holder (maximum
banding 8a).

The
Pharmacist Teaching Fellow is an essential member
of a well-established team within undergraduate Medical Education delivery. The
