Job summary

As part of an expanding team we are looking to recruit an ICT Services Assistant to work within the ICT Department, assisting in a range of administrative and clerical functions including ordering, stock/inventory/asset management as well as supporting the wider team with a range of administrative tasks.

We are looking for applicants that Maths and English at Level 2 (GCSE Minimum grade C/4). Willing to work towards a Level 3 standard over the period of the apprenticeship.

As this post is not highly technical in nature, in depth IT technical knowledge is not essential, however being proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages is important. Highly developed organisational skills and experience of ordering using the Oracle financial system would be an advantage.

Main duties of the job

To assist the wider ICT Department in providing a range of IT services to staff working within the Trust by:

  • Ensuring a prompt and efficient response to queries.
  • Fulfilling requests and resolving issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintaining good communication at all times.
  • Demonstrating good organisational skills.

To contribute to the Trusts service to patients by:

  • To undertake administration and procurement activity on behalf of the IM&T Department.
  • To liaise with finance and procurement teams to receipt incoming orders, register assets, answer invoice queries and arrange recharge/payment.
  • Manage incoming bills and invoices.
  • To operate the Trusts asset management processes including the proper registration, administration, auditing and decommissioning/disposal of IT assets.
  • Monitor, manage, order and issue of departmental stock, consumables and spares.
  • Maintaining well organised and safe work areas.
