This development opportunity is being created in anticipation of the retirement of the current Senior Data Developer.As such, it offers an internal progression pathway for colleagues aspiring to move into a Band 7 Senior Data Developer role.

The Post will initially be Appointed atBand 6 Data Developeron a development basis. You will work through an agreed development framework over a12month period(or earlier, if all required competencies are achieved).

Upon successful completion of all milestones and clear demonstration of the competencies aligned to theBand 7 Senior Data DeveloperJob Description, you will progress to Band 7.

Progression willnotbe automatic. Development progress will be monitored, supported, and formally-reviewed throughout the 12month period to ensure readiness for advancement.

Main duties of the job

As Data Developer, you are responsible for designing, developing and maintaining highquality SQLbased data pipelines, ETL processes and automated reporting solutions that underpin the Trusts operational, clinical and statutory information requirements. You will work closely with colleagues across Data Management, BI and operational services to ensure data flows are accurate, efficient and resilient.

Key duties include enhancing existing data products, supporting data quality improvement, troubleshooting system issues, implementing national reporting changes, and contributing to the development of modern data architecture and automation. You will play a vital role in ensuring the Trust has reliable, timely and wellengineered data to support informed decisionmaking and safe patient care.

  • Organise workload, balance competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a hybrid environment.
