South Tyneside 0-19 Team have exciting opportunities for passionate and committed Health Visitor to join us. We are looking for candidates with excellent clinical and communication skills and those who are able to deliver safe and effective practice. Successful candidates will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the Healthy Child Programme to a diverse population ranging from universal in reach to personalised in response. You will support the children and families of South Tyneside have the best start in life. The post holder will also contribute to the Public Health Agenda, meet Public Health targets and address local health inequalities. We welcome applications from newly qualified and experienced Health Visitors and offer a robust preceptorship to newly qualified health visitors. The role requires an individual with a passion for working together with multi-agency (statutory and voluntary) partners and providers to improve the lives of children and families. You must have the flexibility to support the team and your own identified caseload.

Main duties of the job

  • Work in collaboration with local statutory, voluntary and mainstream services to ensure that children and families can access other health and support services.
  • To be responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care.
