Job summary
We are currently in the position to
recruit a full time Health Care Assistant at
ICAR (IntermediateCare and Rehabilitation unit) based in
Houghton Primary Care Centre.
ICAR
provides person centred care and to optimise independence, recovery and patient
wellbeing within a bed based intermediate care setting.
The
unit has 24 single patient rooms and is staffed by a multi professional team of
nurses and AHPs, supported by a GP and a Care Frailty Consultant.
You
will be a valued part of a team providing care over the 24 hour period
supporting patients rehabilitation and recovery needs and in the delivery of
essential patient care
Main duties of the job
You will participate as a member of
the Multi-Disciplinary Team in the delivery of holistic care.
You will need:
Experience in a
hospital or care environment
Experience of
recording information in a clinical / IT system ideally Meditech
Good
communication skills
Ability to work
as part of a team
Flexible
Able to move and
handle patients safely
Care Certificate
or committed to complete on commencement to post
Ability to travel
to work at Houghton le Spring
Please note:
You will be working within a service that provides in-patient care so will be
working to a rota which covers 24 hours seven days per week including bank
holidays and includes rotation onto night duty.
